Nantwich Town manager Phil Parkinson believes Sam Hall will bring "goals and leadership" to his team in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's top flight next season after signing the midfielder and Leek Town skipper.

The 25-year-old was unveiled at the Weaver Stadium on Tuesday, pictured, after helping the Blues reach the First Division South play-off final before their fall at the final hurdle with Sutton Coldfield Town winning promotion.

In a statement released by the Dabbers on Tuesday confirming the arrival of Hall and the departure of Harry Clayton to Colwyn Bay, Parkinson said: “Sam will bring quality, experience, leadership and goals.

"He has an uncanny knack of scoring important goals and we are extremely pleased to have him at the club as he represents everything we are trying to do here in bringing the best local talent in south Cheshire and north Staffordshire to the Weaver Stadium."

Hall, named in the First Division South 'Team of the Year' at the 2015 EVO-STIK NPL Players of the Year Awards, spent three years at the Blues, making a total of 153 appearances and scoring eight goals after arriving from Kidsgrove Athletic in 2012, in the process establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the division.

The midfielder kicked off his career in Burton Albion's youth set-up before moving on to Hednesford. His move to the Dabbers will see him link-up again with former Blues team-mate Liam Shotton who signed for Parkinson earlier this week.
