Wellingborough boss Jake Stone voted Step 4 Manager of the Month
Wellingborough Town boss Jake Stone has won October's Step 4 Manager of the Month vote.
Collecting his second Step 4 Manager of the Month award of the season, Stone has been recognised for a fantastic month which ended with the Doughboys sat 13 points clear at the top of the NPL Midlands Division table.
Beginning the month trailing then-leaders Sutton Coldfield Town by four points - albeit having played four games fewer - Stone's men have taken a gruelling October schedule in their stride.
Starting the month with a goalless draw against another of the early-season form sides, Carlton Town, they have gone on to win eight straight league games, scoring 27 goals during that run.
Three of the current top seven - Sutton Coldfield, Loughborough Students and Boldmere St Michaels - all fell by the wayside as the Doughboys' surge clear at the top continued in some style.
Beaten to October's award were Richard Duffy (Congleton Town), Craig Elliott (Bradford Park Avenue) and Jon McDonald (Dunston).
