Prolific forward signs for Witton Albion
Witton Albion have signed striker Connor Hughes on a deal until the end of next season.
He originally joined the club from NWCFL side Daisy Hill in mid-November and went on to score an impressive 10 goals in 11 games.
On his decision to stay, Hughes said: "I am delighted to sign until the end of 23/24 season. I have fit in straight away under the management and a fantastic group of players made me feel welcome from the get-go, so it was a no brainer for me.
“I’m excited to see where we can go as a team and I’m enjoying my football at Witton, so long may it continue.
“It’s a great club and we are all working hard to get it back where it belongs.”
Albion have also announced that Calum Huxley has been released following a notice of approach from Welsh Premier League side Flint Town.
He had featured 12 times for Jon Macken’s side this season.
