Former Sheffield United youngster joins Hallam
Hallam have announced the signing of midfielder Charlie Staniland.
Staniland, 20, began his career at Sheffield United, rising through the youth system to pen his first professional contract in July 2023 after becoming a regular starter in their Under 18s and Under 21s teams.
In April 2024, the youngster departed the Blades for Toronto FC II in the MLS Next Pro league, featuring 25 times and scoring on two occasions before returning home to the UK in November 2024.
He was most recently plying his trade at Sheffield FC, where he made three appearances as the Club fell to relegation from the Northern Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Staniland will go into contention to make his debut for the Countrymen this Saturday, as they welcome Lower Breck to Sandygate in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
